BARLBOROUGH History Group: Meetings have been temporarily suspended. The group have chosen instead to do site visits to Historical places of interest with connections to Barlborough.

ST JAMES’ Church: On Sunday 11th March, Sung Eucharist was held. The celebrant was the Rev S. Short, the organist J. Whybrow, the servers N. Punnoose & J. Waxman, the chalice-bearers J. Brown & N. Elcock, the elements were brought forward by M. Messenger & A. Elcock, the lessons were read by J. Naylor & M. Jones, the prayers were led by B. Anderson and the sidespeople were C. & V. Sanderson. The choir sang the anthem Ave Verum by W. A. Mozart. Choral Evensong took place at 6pm. at which the Bishop of Derby preached the 3rd of his five Lenten sermons. The Coffee Morning held in the Church Institute on 10th March raised £490.
